Discussion Topic #001

Hello everyone! It’s time for our first ever discussion topic!

Why do you think Slytherin’s Locket affected Ron more than Harry and Hermione? They were all taking the locket in turns, so they should have each gotten about the same amount of time to wear the horcrux. Please discuss!

I think it was because he had the most insecurities I mean he has a large family and was beyond terrified for them he didn’t know if they where dead or alive for almost a year, Harry’s parents were dead and Hermione were safely tucked away in Australia. as much as him leaving them made me sad I also loved it because we see another side of Ronald one of pure emotion. From the very beginning he always had hame-downs while he never hated his family for being poor he still wished he could have the nest as well. So for this I think he resented Harry to degree, steaming from that he probably had the recurring thoughts of who would want the poor red-headed kid over the Boy who lived? These fears were confirmed when the locket showed one of his greatest fears the girl he loved choosing his best friend over him. The locket also showed another fear he had his mother not loving him, because he was a boy. So all in all I think he was the most affected because he had the most fear and darkish feelings close to the surface. I LOVE <3 Ron <3 :D
