Scans with DH stills/Rupert golfs at Shooting Stars/New interview with Emma and video

Posted by Desiré on Sep 18 2010 @ 12:24 am • 0 COMMENTS Round of latest news: starting with the upcoming first part of Deathly Hallows, Warner Brothers have confirmed that a first trailer is coming online next September 22 at 6pm PST! Which means, let's get ready for a preview of the November excitement!

New scans coming from the 2011 engagement calendars have surfaced. Some of them are already seen images, but there is a bit of RHr loveliness as well, plus a new take of Hermione in her bedroom:

Speaking of Hermione, since tomorrow is her birthday, the WB Shop online is having discounts all month of up to 50% on all products except dvds. Go check out!

Rupert Grint, along with James and Oliver Phelps, recently took part in the Shooting Stars Charity Golf Tournament 2010 in Switzerland, which raises funds for the Samuel L. Jackson Foundation and the Swiss Red Cross.
Some pictures from the opening night and the day in the golf court have been added to the galleries, courtesy of RupertGrintNet and Snitch-Seeker:

Blick.ch (translated) has an article covering the day, and they quote Rupert saying:
"My tee in golf was never good. As long as the ball flies straight, I'm satisfied. I'm a dude, just want to have fun here."

We also have a new picture of him supporting the bid for England to be the home of 2018 football World Cup, two new shoots from Fault Magazine and the covers of the Wild Target dvd and blu-ray disc:

Emma Watson recently spoke to Straits Times, a magazine from Singapore:

About her haircut, she said: "I've been wanting to do this since I was 16. But I couldn't because of the films. I couldn't wear a wig. It wouldn't look natural on someone my age."

"I think it's rather gamine actually, rather feminine. I've never felt sexier. I love it, this new hair."

"It's funny how everyone thinks of you differently now, and of course, you do feel different. The wardrobe is slightly different too."

"But hair is very changeable, you know. It can always grow back. And you can always cut it off again."

Her say on Deathly Hallows and the Epilogue:
"Having been with the film all this way, it made sense to continue to the end. It's finished exactly the way I imagined for Hermione – with Ron, the kids, her causes, everything."

"It was good to get out of Hogwarts, run off in search of Voldemort in Scotland and bits of very beautiful English countryside. But a lot of it was actually shot in a tent in the studio."

"Well, we wore quite a few prosthetics and the make-up is always very good. But I hear a lot of it will be CGI, so I'll only be able to see for myself the same time as everyone else. It's interesting to see how they made the children look like us too."

About her life as a college student and her future plans:
"I think normality is underrated. It took two weeks for everyone to get used to the idea of having an actress in class. But after that, everyone realised that I was just Emma, normal Emma."

"I'm still very much a Brit – people expect me to come back with an American accent but I haven't."

"My immediate plans are to get through three more years of this course. But if something interesting comes along during the summer holidays, a bit of theatre, maybe a good film, I'm open to the idea."

Read the whole interview at The Coffee Break .

And it's also been confirmed that she is not involved in a new movie, Dark Arc, with Robert Pattinson, nor that she has been casted for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Emma's upcoming collaboration with People Tree for summer 2011 was revealed at at Prince Charles's Garden Party to Make a Difference, and even though she could not be there, she recorded a special message which was shown at the party. Watch it here!

Seth is here!

Posted by Court on Sep 09 2010 @ 10:52 am • 0 COMMENTS Hey all! I know I have been a terrible webmistress the past few months! But I wanted to let everyone know that my little Seth is finally here! He was born on September 1st. He weighed 8lbs. and 5.9 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long! I'll post a few pics here and you can see more and hopefully some video soon on my facebook! I will add anyone to my friends that visits this site so just mention you're a LU visitor and I'll defiantly add you. If I see you like HP I'll pretty much add you anyways lol but just in case!

I also have the September Calendar up made by the lovely Sarah! Check that out on the sidebar!

OTM's will hopefully be back next month!

I also wanted to get your opinion on the forums. We have been offered a position from Fan Forum to become an affiliate and have the option of being a major affiliate if we get rid of our own forum, (which let's face it never has gotten much traffic) and link exclusively to the Harry Potter Fan Forum. Let us know what you think by eithier commenting here or sending us an e-mail at staff@loveunchained.com

DH1 Pictures from Brazilian book, MTV and Empire Magazine/More!

Posted by Desiré on Sep 03 2010 @ 12:07 pm • 0 COMMENTS Several new pictures from Deathly Hallows: Part 1 have been released in the past week, some I've been tweeting, but it was time to make a proper post!

Stills showing the trio entering number 12 Grimmauld Place, Hermione tending a splinched Ron in the tent and three more showing Harry, Ron and Hermione separately during camping were released via the Facebook page of Abril Editora, promoting the upcoming release in Brazil of an illustrated book called "Retratos de Hogwarts" (Hogwarts Portraits):

dh-promo2.jpgdh-promo3.jpg

Empire Magazine features Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in their October issue: along many new pictures in the scans, interviews with the actors and an insight into the production of the film, they released two HQ pictures. One features Harry being questioned by Lupin at the Burrow, and the other shows Rufus Scrimgeous talking to the trio about Dumbledore's will:
dh-newstill2.jpgdh-newstill.jpg

There are some exciting excerpts from the interviews that you can read below (if you don't mind the spoilers); you can check the scans in our gallery:

Rupert, about Ron's new role and his reading of DH
"It's hard for Ron, I think, because if he wants to be a loyal friend, that means he has to sacrifice seeing his family, and that's something he's worried about. You begin to see his paranoia as he sees Hermione and Harry getting closer and he's not quite fully trusting of Harry's ability. Things begin to get a little bit heated. But then the fact that they're arguing makes them feel a bit more human."

"I think I was the last one to read it. I don't know why I didn't, because I'm a big fan of the books; I've read all of them. But I was nervous because I'd been hearing so much about characters dying and not making it through the end. And I wanted Ron to survive!"

Emma, about Hermione's family, the new challenges and the kiss
"The film opens with Hermione wiping her parents' memories and leaving their house. [...] You see Ron's home and Harry's. But you never really get a sense of Hermione's life outside Hogwarts, outside that friendship, and it's important. [...] They offer her a cup of tea, completely unaware that anything's about to happen, and then I cast a spell that wipes their memory of me. There're photos all around the room, actual childhood pictures of me, and they just dissolve. It's horrible. And then I have to shut the door and walk out alone."

"The emotional stuff is much harder. These last two films have been on a completely different level in terms of what they've demanded from me physically and emotionally. I did a scene where Ron's had half of his boy splinched, and he's drenched in blood and my hands are covered in blood and my friend's in a huge amount of pain in my arms, I'm trying to save him. I also get tortured; I've never had to do a torture scene before."

"This kiss between Hermione and Ron is highly anticipated, it's been building up for eight films now. And Harry Potter, it's not Twilight, you know; we're not selling sex. So, whenever there is any hint of that, everybody gets terribly excited. In fact, it was horribly awkward; we couldn't stop laughing."

Thanks to Oclumencia, you can check out some HQ pictures from the Cherrybomb Fans Meet and Greet event in London last week with Rupert:

I wanted to apologize for the slow flow of news in here, but for a while I'll be the only active staffer, so I'll try to handle this as good as possible :)
Also, I've been asking for staffers, but I'm not the one who can appoint you as one, so if you've applied, thank you a lot and please bear with us, we still need you!
Same with affiliates: I can't add you myself, so please be patient and thanks!

As final thing, I wanted to say many congratulations to Courtney and her husband Del for the huge blessing they just got into their lives!

On Deathly Hallows Part 1 news, a new behind the scenes picture was released, showing the trio at the cafe in Tottenham Court Road.

Also and more excitingly, a secret screening took place last Sunday in Chicago, and some of the attendants gave out a few spoilers to raise our hopes... I'll post some down here, only highlight if you don't mind to be spoiled before November!

* Ron reaction to Hermione being tortured: That entire scene was just how I imagined it in the books. The Malfoy mansion was absolutely perfect.

* The scene in the forest when Ron saves Harry's live while he's swimming underwater to get the sword of Godric Griffindor was amazing.

* When harry opened it (the locket), Voldemort played on Ron's fears and it's great. His fears for his family, but very vividly his fear that Hermione is into Harry. It has smoke versions of Harry and Hermione saying the most vicious and hurtful things to Ron. Then they start making out with very little clothes on.

* The Krum scene is PERFECT. Ron and Hermione are circling the punch bowl and Ron is pretending not to look at her. Krum comes up to Hermione and takes her out to dance. Ron is furiously watching them. Krum sees another girl that he seems really attracted to and chases after her. Hermione turns toward Ron and he turns away in an attempt to hide that he was watching her dance with Krum.

* About the discrimination against Mudbloods: Hermione does not go on trial. But they're hating.

* When Ron leaves, Hermione tries to convince him to stay, she cries.

* They look like they fell asleep holding hands, as it shows them asleep with their hands outstretched, inches from touching.

* Ron is in the basement when she is being tortured, he might cry, but when Dobby brings them upstairs, he and Harry attempt to fight, but are stopped because Bellatrix has a knife to Hermione's throat. Also, when Hermione awakens from being tortured she notices the word "mudblood" carved into her arm.

* The piano scene is Hermione attempting to teach Ron to play a song on the piano, while Harry seems to be getting annoyed by it.

* Hermione takes care of Ron when his arm becomes injured. During the healing process, he becomes jealous of Hermione and Harry and decides to leave. This seems to be partially caused by the necklace.

* Hermione is depressed when Ron is gone, which causes the scene where Harry attempts to cheer her up by dancing with her.

* When Ron returned, Hermione remained very angry with him. When Harry asks her when she might get over it, she says "I'm always mad at him".

So... It's certainly raised my hopes up to a 90% (there's always an uncertain 10%), after some very mean comments from other witnesses ¬¬ How about yours?

Emma's AW Line for People Tree/Rupert Meets Fans

Posted by Desiré on Aug 25 2010 @ 07:20 pm • 0 COMMENTS Round of fresh news today!
Starting from new to old, Emma Watson, following her clothing line in collaboration with Fair Trade Fashion People Tree, has endorsed the Autumn/Winter 2010 collection, which was released today!
In the special launching page at People Tree's website, Emma left a message from her (read a excerpt below), along with pictures, an interview with Safia Miney and a behind the scenes video:

"(...)I wanted to visit Bangladesh with Safia to see the difference Fair Trade makes.
The contrast between the slums in Dhaka (the capital of Bangladesh) where the people who work in the garment factories live and Swallows (the Fair Trade community supported by People Tree) was all too apparent. (...)
Although I wasn't centrally involved in the design of this collection, I had great fun in helping Safia select some gorgeous Fair Trade textiles (...) I have picked out some of my favourite pieces which I have modelled for People Tree.
I want to congratulate People Tree on this new range and really hope people continue to buy these clothes and to support their great work in the promotion of Fair Trade.

Love Emma xx"

Read the full message, and the interview, in which she talks about her experience visiting the women working in Bangladesh, here.

The new collection adds 11 warm pieces for men, and 43 for women. Check them out here!

Emma also updated her official Facebook page today with the following message:

"Hi everyone, just back from an amazing holiday with my family. So nice just to chill out in the sunshine... Now I'm back in London for a quick turnaround before flying to the US ready for the start of term. Can't wait! Hope you're all ok x"

During the annual wandering through V Festival last weekend, in which he "went quackers", Rupert gave some interviews to the media about finishing Harry Potter and his future prospect.
Telegraph.co.uk:
"I would love to do some theatre, but I refuse to get my kit off," the affable actor, pictured, told Mandrake at the Virgin Media V Festival at Weston Park in Staffordshire. "I would do anything before doing that."
(...)
He kept two souvenirs from his final film in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathy Hallows: Part II. "One is a golden egg [the magical goal of the First Task of the Triwizard Tournament] and the other is one of the chess pieces, because they are just so amazing to look at," he says.

Metro:
"I feel free after all these years. It’s been nine years,’ he told me inside the Virgin Media Louder Lounge.

Grint, 21, aka Ron Weasley, added: ‘Still, it’s weird because we’ll still have to do all the promos to the film next summer after feeling like it’s over.’

Daily Record (this was the funnier to read!):
"It's been quite weird finishing Harry Potter. It's taking a while to adjust to it all and it does feel weird because it was such a regular routine in my life.
Suddenly not doing it is strange and I don't know what I'm doing next.
It was quite sad because it took a long time to get to know people and then I was saying goodbye.
The wrap party was quite sad.
It's kind of scary and I'm keen to carry on acting in various projects."
(...)
"I'm not in a band but I'd like to be. I tried for so long to play instruments but I couldn't. I've tried to play a succession of instruments from the accordion and saxophone to the banjo and guitar."
(...)
And the famous redhead also told the Razz he's always loved having his ginger hair - and was never bullied.
"I always seemed to escape the red hair jibes when I was growing up. I've never shied away from it because it is part of me."

Thanks to RupertGrintNet!

And after a night of camping and before the official birthday celebrations, he offered a series of interviews to promote Cherrybomb and answer fan questions! The first event was a private meet with a round of lucky fans who won Cherrybomb's competition, and the second one took place at the Apple Store in Regent St., London, with an open panel discussion. Snitch-Seeker provided a series of curious facts from what he said; you can read part of one of the interviews below:

Are you working on anything currently?
Not actually right now. I’m enjoying some time off. I might be doing some things maybe next year.
Any singing? Musicals?
When we were in Florida I did karaoke. “I Got You Babe” … It was quite nice until I found it on youtube.
On the last two reincarnations of The Doctor, it sounded like he wanted to be ginger. If offered the role, would you take it in Doctor Who?
I would do that, yeah. I haven’t seen much of the new ones.
Did you take some memorabilia from the set?
Yeah, I did. They’re really quite strict with what you take. You have to be quiet, obviously. I got from Privet Drive the Number 4.
Have you ever thought about going to any acting school? Not that you need it.
Yeah, I have thought about it. When I started it was a bit of a fluke really. I just sent a video of me doing a rap to Newsrounds ... I can’t actually remember all the words. It was basically just a lot of information of me that rhymes. Yeah, I sent it in to the casting people. Being on set has been a real education really. It’s been incredible being on set.
One of your Japanese fans touched your eyelash. What did you feel?
She won a competition to come and meet the cast. And she was quite excited about my eyelashes. She touched them ... It was quite strange.
If you were a type of cake, Rupert, what cake would you be?
I’d be a Victoria sponge.
Would you consider doing a series of films like the Harry Potter ones again, or would you want to stick to single ones like Cherrybomb?
Yeah, I would probably consider it, if it wasn’t a wizard one.

I'll be uploading later with pictures and... DH spoilers!

Happy Birthday, Rupert Grint!

That's right! Today, 24th of August, it's Rupert's birthday!
The world's most famous red-haired, best known on screen as Harry Potter's best friend, turns 22 today!
After ten long years of green sets and premieres, the end of Ron Weasley and the HP franchise is sadly here, but in no way this marks the end of Rupert. Having taken part in several projects, there's no doubt we'll see more of his talent in the years to come.

Happy Birthday!

Besides attending the infamous V Festival last weekend as he's done for the past years, yesterday Rupert took part in a serie of Q&A with a round of lucky fans to promote Cherrybomb in the UK. Visit their official Facebook page to find more; we'll have pictures and quotes soon!

Also in recent news, Rupert and the Phelps twins were spotted at the Barmy to Barcelona 2010 Wacky Rally. The purpose of the rally was to help the RNLI, a charity that saves lives at sea. They provide a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service around the coasts of the UK and RoI, as well as a seasonal lifeguard service on many of the busiest beaches in England and Wales.

Rupert said in the press release:

"We expect to “coast” to Barcelona ha ha. This is a brilliant way to see some great bits of Europe and even better that we can do it for a great cause. We’ve even got company in the form of a seagull perched on the boot of the car; we’re hoping it won’t need rescuing when the rally starts for real! The RNLI does a fantastic job but it’s only possible because of people’s donations. Help us to help the RNLI by going on to our fundraising page www.virginmoneygiving.com/thesaltyseadogs, it would be really appreciated!"

Cool photos of them from the rally our now in our galleries. And when I said cool, they are REALLY cool. Check them out below!
